Innovation and the consistent further development of thermoprocessing have always been the focus at AICHELIN. The SAFED laboratory at the AICHELIN Assembly Center Europe in Celje, Slovenia, is a place where universal applications in heat treatment are tested and optimized under real conditions.

The SAFED test facility is an electrically heated wire mesh belt furnace with muffle and downstream cooling section.

The plant is suitable for the following heat treatment processes:

(Blank) Annealing
Hardening under protective gas atmosphere
Carburizing and case hardening (limited)
Artificial ageing
Tempering
