Valuable tests for international customers: The SAFED laboratory furnace

Innovation and the consistent further development of thermoprocessing have always been the focus at AICHELIN. With the opening of the SAFED laboratory last year, AICHELIN Ges.m.b.H. in Mödling created a place where universal operations in heat treatment can be tested under real conditions.

The SAFED test facility is an electrically heated wire mesh belt furnace with muffle and downstream cooling section.

The plant is suitable for the following heat treatment processes:

(Blank) Annealing
Hardening under protective gas atmosphere
Carburizing and case hardening (limited)
Artificial ageing
Tempering
